"Since the world in all its faㅜcy wisdom never had a clue when it came to knowing God, God in his wisdom took delight in using what the world considered dumb - preaching, of all things! - to bring thosee who trust him into the way of salvation. While Jews clamor for miraculous demonstrations and Greeks go in for philosophical wisdom, we go right on proclaiming Christ, the Crucified. Jews treat this like an anti-miracle - and Greeks pass it off as absurd. But to us who are personally called by God himself - both Jews and Greeks - Christ is God's ultimate miracle and wisdom all wrapped up in one. Human wisdom is to tinny, so impotent, next to seeming absurdity of God. 매우 공감가는 표현... 이런 저런 학문을 모두 경험한 바울 사도의 고백이라 더 각별하게 들린다. 하나님을 아는 것은 어리석게 보인다. 하지만 인간의 강함은 하나님의 약함, 어리석음과 경쟁할 수도 없다.
